New Years Day Ride, Toronto 2005

This year's ride had an amazing turnout with over 20 riders taking advantage of the unusually mild weather. Among the familiar faces were some new ones, including Mike Sherman, from near Cleveland, Ohio. We once again rode the same 23km route we've used for the past few years, starting at the Second Cup across the street from the Carrot Common, and going through nearly every ecomonic strata of Toronto, from rich to poor. The route visited a number of familiar neighbourhoods, starting with Riverdale, then over through Cabbage Town, past St. Jamestown, up through Rosedale and Leadside, a bit of North Toronto. After finishing the ride, a number of us hung around the Second Cup to socialise and catch up on things. It was a great start to the season.

Happy New Year.
